Children's Long Term Support

The Children's Long Term Support (CLTS) waiver program supports children who are living at home or in the community who have substantial limitations in multiple daily activities because of one or more of the following disabilities:

  • Developmental disabilities (DD)
  • Physical disabilities (PD)
  • Severe emotional disturbances (SED)

Funding

Funding supports services based on the individualized assessment of the child’s strengths and needs, are selected with the input and consultation of the child’s family and are to help maintain the child in their home or community environment. Some examples of different services possibly covered include:

  • Adaptive aids
  • Communication aids
  • Respite care
  • Specialized medical and therapeutic supplies
  • Supportive home care

Children’s Community Options Program (CCOP)

Children’s Community Options Program supports children who are living at home or in the community who have substantial limitations in multiple daily activities because of one or more of the following disabilities:  

  • Developmental disabilities (DD)
  • Physical disabilities (PD)
  • Severe emotional disturbances (SED)

Funding

Funding is limited and can provide a range of services and supports that are not available through Medicaid, schools, private insurance of other waiver programs such as CLTS.

Families may apply for either of these programs, and other Children's long-term care programs by contacting Compass Wisconsin at 866-710-4054. Compass Wisconsin will assist the family in the application process and provide the initial screening to determine whether their child is eligible for services.
