Community Health Assessment

The Community Health Assessment (CHA) is an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the health of our community. Conducting a CHA while actively responding to a pandemic created its own challenges, as well as elevating its importance. In addition to assessing the needs and assets of the community over the last five years, this unique CHA serves as an introduction to understanding the impact that COVID-19 has had on our community.

This work was not done by Walworth County Public Health alone. The CHA Steering Committee, comprised of a diverse representation of multi-sector community leaders, shared a common goal of improving the health and well-being of Walworth County's residents. The steering committee examined quantitative and qualitative data from a wide variety of sources; including local, state, and national datasets, the Community Health Survey, focus groups, and key informant interviews.
