Sealed
bids for county-owned properties are invited and will be accepted by Walworth
County Purchasing, Department of Public Works, W4097 County Road NN, Elkhorn, WI
53121, (262) 741-7266, until 1:00 p.m., February 5, 2010. Shortly after 1:00
p.m., all bids will be opened and recorded in the Department of Public Works
Conference Room. Bid awards will be considered by the Walworth County Finance
Committee on February 21, 2010.

Bid Due
Date: February 5, 2010 @ 1:00 p.m.

Sealed bids
must be submitted on Walworth County Tax Sale Bid Form.

Submit bid
in a sealed envelope marked "Tax Deeded Lands".

Properties
will be sold "as is, where is".
-
Walworth
County has taken title to the properties, but does not warranty occupancy of
same.
-
Determination
of applicability of local zoning and land use restrictions shall be the sole
responsibility of the bidder.
-
No abstract,
title insurance, or survey will be provided by the seller.
-
No bid will
be accepted which is contingent upon obtaining financing or upon the sale of
another property.
-
Pursuant to
Wis State Statute 75.69, at the first attempt to sell the property, the
county must reject every bid that is less than the appraised value of the
property.
-
Payment,
made payable to Walworth County Treasurer, shall be by money order,
certified check, or municipal check. Earnest money in the amount of 20% of the bid is required
upon bid submission, with the balance due within 30 days of acceptance of
the bid. The earnest money may be considered as liquidation damages in the
event of the bidder's failure to complete the purchase after acceptance by
Walworth County.

The
prevailing bidder is responsible for recording fees, taxes, and/or special
assessments on all tax bills received after the purchase.

Conveyance
will be quit claim deed.
