Transportation
The Transportation program provides rides for
medical care, nutrition, and shopping to Walworth County residents who are
60 years of age and over, and to disabled persons. The program also provides
transportation regardless of age for clients of the Department of Health and
Human Services, for patients in Lakeland Health Care Center, and for persons
receiving Medical Assistance.
Transportation services are provided curb-to-curb. Several
riders may be transported at one time. Drivers do not stay with riders at a
medical appointment, nor are they allowed to provide attendant care. Riders
should be ready one hour before their scheduled pick-up time.
Riders must wear seatbelts and children must be in child restraint
devices when riding in vehicles provided through the Transportation program.
