Medication Management

DHHS nursing staff assist psychiatric prescribers, other professional mental health staff and consumers with medication-related issues.  Nurses provide an array of services which includes:

·     Assisting consumers with obtaining medications

·     Medication education

·     Monitoring for medication side effects

·     Administration of injections

·     Weekly clozaril clinic

·     Checking vital signs  

·     Monitoring of laboratory reports

 

In addition, the Patient Assistance Program (PAP) assists qualified individuals with obtaining free medications.

A nurse is available Monday through Friday 8:30a.m. to 4:30 p.m. To contact the nursing department directly call 262-741-3444.
