Children's Court Services
provisions of Chapter 48, DHHS carries out the instructions of the court
regarding children determined to need protection and service due to abuse,
neglect, or special needs..
Chapter 938, DHHS also provides court services for cases involving alleged
delinquent behavior by juveniles. As part of the assessment process DHHS
also helps to determine whether juveniles need protection and service in
cases of uncontrollability, truancy from home and/or truancy from school.
