Developmental Disability

Developmental Disability means mental retardation or a disability attributed to a brain injury before age 21.  Developmental Disability also means cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism, or a neurological condition closely related to mental retardation or that requires treatment similar to the treatment required for mental retardation.  To be considered a Developmental Disability, this neurological condition must be one which has continued or can be expected to continue indefinitely, and which constitutes a substantial handicap to the individual.
