Child
Day Care
The Child Day Care program provides a subsidy to those
who need child day care to find or keep a job, and to teenage parents in
high school (or its equivalent). There may also be limited funding for
education beyond high school.
In most cases a family is responsible to pay a share of the
cost of child day care. This share is based on a sliding fee. The
sliding fee is based on the size of the family and the family's income.
There is no limit to the length of time that a family can receive child
day care services.
Although the parent has the choice and responsibility of
selecting their child care provider, a subsidy will only be authorized
for a regulated provider.
