Financial Reporting

The financial reporting division of the Finance Department provides support in establishing
and maintaining accurate and timely accounting services and reports for all County departments.
This division provides financial analysis and planning, prepares annual financial statements,
processes accounts payable, maintains capital asset records, and works
with the Treasurer’s Office in cash investment.

All records are kept in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and financial reports are prepared in accordance with the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB).

Walworth County has been an award recipient of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting since Fiscal Year Ended December 31, 2002.

Walworth County, Wisconsin was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association for fiscal year ended December 31, 2012.
